For anyone who is waiting for news of my Reluctant Brides, I swear they are not a figment of my imagination, though it must be beginning to look that way. Just yesterday I learned that the first book in the series, MARRY ME STRANGER, should be available in April. This one features Isabella and Brand, who marry in haste and find themselves repenting at leisure …
In other news, we survived Christmas in spite of our usual confusion and are hoping the New Year will settle down soon. It started with colds and has now moved on to snow, storms and fallen trees. Kudos to Richmond Public Works, who turned out at 4.30 a.m. one night to clear some of the remains of our Mugho Pine off the street in front of our house. Later, son Adrian and friends cleared off the rest off our driveway, our neighbour’s driveway and Adrian’s truck, which survived with only two dents. Two days later we were still in bed when we heard a Crack followed by a thump as half the willow in our back fell too. Again it was cleared away by Adrian & Co. We’d never have managed without them. Sincerely hope this is the last of our “weather.” Not holding breath.
In the meantime, good wishes to all for the rest of 2017. Happy Reading – and Down with Snow!
